Who We Are
Starting with Hope
The Valley Disability Support Group is a friendly place for people in Northern Virginia. We are an online resource and community connector for traumatic brain injury survivors. We started this group because we know how hard it can be to live with a brain injury. Our group is made of neighbors and friends who want to help each other feel better. We are here to talk, share what we know, and make sure no one has to walk this path alone. Whether you are a survivor or a family member, you are welcome here.

Our Goal
We believe every person deserves a kind community. We are working to build a place where survivors and families feel heard. Our vision is a world where no one has to walk the path of recovery alone. We want to make sure everyone in Northern Virginia has the help they need to find hope and grow together.

Our primary focus is to address survivors' challenges with mild TBI and create opportunities to heal through community involvement, awareness, education, empowerment & advocacy.

When my husband had his injury, I felt like I was all alone in the dark. This group helped me find the light again. They showed me the right resources and gave me people to talk to who truly understand. It makes a world of difference.

Finding this group was the best thing that happened after my accident. I met other survivors who are working toward the same goals. We share tips and support each other. I finally feel like I am part of a community again.
