BIG Empowerment & Advocacy

Every Wednesday 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (Zoom)

Learn self-advocacy and systems advocacy. BIG stands for Brain Injury Group. Created by brain injury survivors from Northern Virginia and the Northwest Piedmont region this group discusses treatment gaps and strategies to raise awareness and advocate effectively. Members are active in inpatient and systems advocacy. Click here for more information.

Bilingual Aphasia Group

Brain Injury Survivors Support (Zoom)

Do you speak Spanish? Do you have aphasia? Join our free group for Spanish speakers! Regain words, and cultural phrases, and meet new, friendly people in a safe space. Click here for more information.

Brain Injury Survivor Support

Saturdays 11:30 am-12:30 pm (Zoom)

Support for all stages of rehabilitation therapy for survivors of traumatic brain injury and stroke. Topics include coping with Aphasia.

One-on-one peer mentoring is available.

Book lovers, come one come all! Short story reading paired with sharing insights about the selection and reading experience among group members. Open to everyone, rekindle your love for reading through gentle pacing and material suitable for individuals working through aphasia and vision therapy strategies.
