Brain Injury Survivor Groups & Events

We Are In This Together 

We are committed to your safety and well-being. Staying connected virtually is developing into a new norm for many of us. It is still possible to continue the journey to wellness emotionally, mentally and spiritually as we connect virtually. 

With this in mind, a virtual series of group meetings and social events make it easier to stay connected and alleviates ongoing transportation challenges. Yes! 

Virtual Group Meeting Schedule (Zoom)

BIG Empowerment & Advocacy

Every Wednesday 3:30pm - 4:30pm (Zoom)

Learn self-advocacy and systems advocacy. BIG stands for Brain Injury Group. Created by brain injury survivors from Northern Virginia and Northwest Piedmont region this group discusses treatment gaps and strategies to raise awareness and advocate effectively. Members are active in patient and systems advocacy. Click here for more information.

Bilingual Aphasia Group

Brain Injury Survivors Support

Do you speak Spanish? Do you have aphasia? Join our free group for Spanish speakers! Regain words, cultural phrases, meet new, friendly people in a safe space. Click here for more information.

Brain Injury Survivor Support

Every Saturday 11:30am-12:30pm (Zoom)

Support for all stages of rehabilitation therapy for survivors of traumatic brain injury and stroke. Includes Information Sessions. 

One-on-One peer mentoring is available.

by 5pm the day before the scheduled Zoom meetings.
